Leg number one of our journey is complete.  On our approach to Newark we could see the Freedom Tower from the air. It was an impressive sight.

We're sitting in the United Lounge in Newark waiting for our flight to Glasgow. It's going to be a long wait... But well worth it, I'm sure. I just hope we get some sleep on the plane tonight. Looking forward to posting some amazing photos starting with the Hawk Walk tomorrow. 

I just put the last items in the suitcases. Leaving for the airport at 8am.  Tomorrow will be a long day.  We arrive in Newark at about 1pm and have a 6 hour layover for our flight to Glasgow.  Even so, it is exciting.  I have always wanted to go to Scotland.  Mike gave me an amazing Christmas gift with this trip.  I can't wait!  Time for rest now...

Three days until we leave.  Laundry, packing and last minute stuff.  I hope I can get it all done!
