Unfortunately, this is the first time since we arrived that I have had computer access.  It has been a great trip so far and we have been making some good friends. 

Our first day in Scotland started early with a 7.am arrival in Glasgow.  that was about 2am our time.  And of course with such an early arrival our rooms were not ready.  So we sort of camped out in the hotel lobby to wait.

About the same time our room was ready it was time to meet the falconer for our Hawk Walk. We were exhausted but walking around the grounds in the cool air was very refreshing.  We had a great time flying the Harris Hawk Odan. 

Following our Hawk Walk we had time for a short nap and then it was time for a cruise around Loch Lomond followed by dinner. Obviously we slept really well that night.

Day 2 started bright and early with a trip to Sterling Castle.  Stirling is the ancestral home of my Bowie ancestors.  The castle is perched up on top of a mountain.  It as been beautifully restored by the Scottish Government.
